Pneuparts has a very extensive range of ISO cylinders. In addition to our range of standard cylinders, we can customise all cylinders for you in the stroke length you require. When exchanging between different brands of cylinders, always pay attention to the main dimensions, threads on the caps and the piston rod thread.
ISO standards
Pneumatic cylinders that are made according to ISO standards can be exchanged in terms of dimensions. All installation dimensions of these cylinders are the same. This also applies to the thread on the piston rod. The most common ISO standards are ISO 6432 and ISO 15552. If in doubt, please contact us at all times. We are happy to advise you.
ISO 6432
This standard describes the dimensions of small round cylinders / mini cylinders Ø8 – Ø25mm. The standard also contains sizes for 4 mounting accessories. Round cylinders with diameters from Ø32 to Ø63mm are not covered by a standard.

ISO 15552
The standard has been applicable since 2004 and replaces older standards. This standard describes relevant dimensions of pneumatic cylinders from Ø32 to Ø320mm. Many mounting or fastening materials meet this standard so that they are internationally interchangeable.

ISO 6431
This standard expired in 2004. The main dimensions of pneumatic cylinder of Ø32 – Ø320mm were described.
These have remained unchanged, so ISO 6431 cylinders are interchangeable with ISO 15552 cylinders.

ISO 21287 / UNITOP
This standard describes relevant dimensions of pneumatic compact cylinders from Ø20 to Ø100mm. The matching mounting or fastening materials can also be used with ISO 15552 cylinders so that they are also generally interchangeable and usable.
The ISO 21287 is the continuation of UNITOP standardized short stroke cylinders. The difference between ISO 21287 cylinders and Unitop cylinders is in the dimensions, they are not interchangeable. We recommend standardizing on ISO cylinders where possible.

ISO 15524
This standard describes relevant dimensions of pneumatic short-stroke cylinders from Ø20 to Ø100mm. Although these cylinders are very short to install, we recommend using ISO21287 cylinders where possible. The ISO 15524 cylinders are no longer used enough to compile an interchangeability list.

ISO 8139
Ball heads (rod eyes with spherical bearing according to the standard) ensure optimal interchangeability, as well as savings opportunities.

ISO 8140
The standard specifies the sizes and threads of the clevis (rod eyes in the standard). There are many materials and mounting methods of the pen available.

VDMA 24562, ISO/VDMA
As a trade association of German machines, the VDMA has been a system builder and forerunner in the standardization of pneumatic parts. This standard is no longer applicable.
