What is the function of a pressure switch?

A pressure switch monitors and/or controls the pressure in a system, such as in a pressure vessel or in the piping. A pressure switch is also often used to control the desired pressure in the compressor, which works as follows with the pressure switch you select the desired pressure. When this pressure is reached, the contact will go up. The compressor will then stop pumping. When the minimum pressure is reached, this contact goes back up.

Thus, the pressure switch ensures that a device is turned on or off by the degree of pressure you set.
