A 5/3 NAMUR valve is a pneumatic valve with a standard connection for ports 2 and 4, allowing it to be mounted directly onto a NAMUR actuator without additional hoses or fittings. The actuator controls the opening and closing of devices such as ball valves or butterfly valves.

 

The NAMUR standard, widely used in process and industrial applications such as pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, is defined in VDI/VDE 3845.
