NAMUR 5/2 valves

All valves are without solenoid coil and standard plug, which must be ordered separately.

NAMUR 5/2 valves with NAMUR interface

 

A 5/2 NAMUR valve is a pneumatic valve with a special connection pattern of the outputs of the valve. These outputs are normally the ports 2 and 4 of a valve.

 

Thanks to this standard you place the valve directly on the pneumatic actuator with the same NAMUR standard. Hoses and couplings between the valve and the actuator are therefore not required. The pneumatic actuator ensures the opening and closing of, for example, ball valves and butterfly valves.

 

After-hours is used as standard within the process industry or other industrial applications, such as in the pharmaceutical sector, in the chemical industry and in the food industry.

 

NAMUR means "Normen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Für Mess-Und Regelungstechniek". The connections are laid down in the VDI / VDE 3845 standard.

 

 

A 5/2 valve has 5 connection ports and 2 switching positions and can be normally closed or normally open.

 

With a 5/2 valve - if port 1 is aerated - air always flows from one of the 2 output ports. In contrast to a 3/2 valve, with a 5/2 valve there is therefore no question of normally closed or normally opened.

 

Port 1 is connected to port 2. At the same time, the return air flows via port 4 to the vent port 5. If you switch the valve, the air flows from port 1 to port 4. The air just added to port 2 can escape via port 3 again.

 

A 5/2 valve can be monostable or bistable

 

Monostable valves are valves where a continuous control signal is required to switch the valve. If this control signal is lost, the valve switches by means of. resilience to its rest position.

 

Bistable valves can be permanently switched over by a short control signal. The valve remains in its position without a signal. The valve switches again by a control signal on the other side. A separate control is therefore required for each stand.
