Standard quick release couplings NW 5.5 - ORION

Connections come in many shapes and sizes, which are usually not interchangeable. Orion and Euro connections are used most frequently in the Netherlands and Belgium.

 

ORION connection:

Orion couplings are narrower than a Euro coupler and therefore have a smaller air opening. (Nominal width 5.5mm) The resistance at these couplings is therefore higher than that of a coupling with a larger opening, and leads to slightly more pressure loss.

 

Orion cell couplings are connected by simply plugging in the coupling plug. The uncoupling is done by pulling on the sleeve of the coupling. The coupling bus closes automatically after disconnection.
